Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Bronx will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in New York usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 amβ8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Hugo's Gourmet Market at (585) 347-3364; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 39 reviews, which is a strong result for a burger in Bronx and suggests consistent service.
Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Bronx is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The presentation of this business is excellent. Itβs organized, clean, and everything is in its exact place. The workers are very nice and helpful.. they ask you specifically for what you want on your food and how you want it. The owner Anthony throws huge parties giving away to the community. I havenβt seen a buisnesss thats this giving. This gourmet is the only store in the Jewish community that I see that gives away this much. The parking is good thereβs a huge park in front so if you want to take your kids out this is definitely the place to go for. Prices are reasonable, everything is made fresh and the food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying the salads, tacos (chicken & carnitas) and the cakes.

Donovan buying food and coffee from this place. The owner doesn't know how to own a business however, one day I just buy a coffee and I have other food and I sit where I usually sit. He comes out after I finish eating and sipping his coffee and says "just sowe clear you're not going to sit out here and eat somebody else's food. Just so we're clear so that we can have an understanding you don't sit on my porch and eat someone else's food. And I remind him, did I regularly buy his food and this time I got a coffee and I'm drinking his coffee. This man has the worst attitude. Everyone else in this place are respectful but the owner is extremely disrespectful.

I really wish I could rate them negative. I remember when they first opened up it was such a great store. NOW terrible the deli food or βfreshβ food has mold, they have expired snack and candy. I recent had a bad experience buying old candy I made the purchase and when I got home noticed it was old tried to return it and nasty lady with glasses said βcandy doesnβt go old Iβll take it back but no refund or switchβ best believe after I said βletβs call your bossβ she gave me my money back and put the candy back on display.

This place has the best bacon, egg and cheese on a roll in the neighborhood. It was so good that I have tried a number of different dishes over the last couple of weeks. The pancakes are superb. The the chicken Gyro was pretty good. The empanadas have a great crust and a unique filling. And the french fries are quite yummy. Some folks mention that it is a bit pricey. Maybe relative to a bodega, but it is cheaper than a restaurant. I think the quality is worth it.

The most incredible restaurant/mini supermarket Iβve ever been to. The staff and the owners not only make you feel important and valued but they make you feel like true family. The prices are exceptional and the BEST in New York STATE. Since their opening I have been nonstop and they NEVER disappoint. Give this place a try. You will be greeted with a warm smile and staff that shows compassion.
